GENERAL;
CHARACTERS AND ROLEPLAYING;
- RESPECT.Being rude and disrespectful will get you nowhere. The staff members are here to help you, and don't take too kindly to being undermined and ignored. Being rude to your fellow members will only hurt you; no one wants to roleplay with an idiot. In the long run, being kind and understanding will get you farther. That's not to say you must agree with us on everything, but bringing up the isuue through PM or email NICELY will achieve more than attacking us in the thread in question.
- CHATSPEAK.This is not myspace, and we are not your BFFs. Make an effort when speaking, and use your big kid words, mmkay?
- DISCRIMINATION.I cannot stress this enough. It does not matter what someone's race, gender, sexual orientation, religion (or lack thereof), or nationality is. Personally, I don't give a fuck what your opinions on abortion, same-sex marriages, and Mexicans are. I don't mean you can't state your opinion politely, but bashing someone is not acceptable.
CHARACTERS AND ROLEPLAYING;
- USE THE FORMAT.
There is a character page for a reason! Use it, it's makes things easier on all of us.
- NO MARY-SUES.Not every single girl is the daughter of the most famous and successful geiko in the world, and not every girl was abducted and forced into this profession. Not every shikomi is going to be perfectly talented in every aspect, so perhaps you should make her have one big talent, and be mediocre, or even kind of bad, at the others.
- REALISM HAS A HOME HERE.Please, please, please read the information we have provided about geisha, or visit some of the links included. I understand if you aren't a complete expert, no one is, but please at least make an effort.
- GRAMMAR.This is an intermediate/advanced roleplay site. Which means one or two poorly constructed, grammatical error-ridden sentences will not cut it. That's not to say you must write a novel for every post, or that typos aren't allowed, but please, make an effort. I think at least 90 words is a reasonable requirement.
